The Process

I break all of my projects up into phases to achieve the best possible outcome. Depending on the project size, we’ll also have regular meetings to review the current progress and to answer any questions you may have.

Phase One: Discovery

I’ll start by learning about your audience, messaging, channels, and competitors. This information will strategically prepare us to build and launch the best possible copy to reach your goals. Many times, this phase also involves interviews with your clinicians who can serve as subject matter experts.

Phase Two: Copywriting

During the second phase, I’ll draft original copy that uses patient-friendly language to hook and engage your target audience. The ghostwritten article or webpage will also incorporate best practices in SEO, linking, and page structure consistent with your brand.

Phase Three: Review and Delivery

Once the draft is complete and polished, we’ll conduct a thorough review which includes two rounds of edits using Google Docs so reviewers can leave feedback simultaneously. After final approval, I’m available for any questions during development.

Featured Project

A mid-Atlantic health system engaged us to overhaul their cancer website content in order to improve clinical accuracy, page consistency, and SEO rankings. The project required significant involvement from the organization’s oncologists, with more than 60 physicians and advanced practice clinicians participating in subject matter expert interviews. This ensured I gathered all of the relevant clinical information as well as the organization’s key differentiators. The project involved rewriting website copy for nearly 50 cancer types.
